Glass-Filled Polytetrafluoroethylene

Available in 15%, 25% glass-fill levels | Sheets | Rods | Tubes | Machined Parts

Glass-Filled PTFE is a reinforced PTFE material containing 15% or 25% glass fibres. The glass reinforcement improves the material’s strength, creep resistance, wear resistance, and dimensional stability compared to standard Virgin PTFE. It performs reliably under continuous loads and demanding operating conditions while maintaining good chemical resistance and low friction.

It is widely used for seals, valve seats, piston rings, guide rings, thrust washers, pump components, and chemical processing equipment. It is available in sheets, rods, tubes, and custom-machined components as per customer drawings and requirements.

Description

It is the standard choice for seals, valve seats, thrust washers, and piston rings where dimensional stability under load is critical.

Hi-Tech Polymers machines all filled PTFE grades in-house — from raw rod, sheet, or tube stock directly to finished components as per customer drawings. Our machining capability is central to our value proposition: customers receive a material-and-machining solution from a single supplier with full traceability.
